╟┐ ┌╢▐ ╠╪══════════════: Newark Bike Project Design Projects :══════════════╪╣▐ ╟┘ └╢▐ ║ I did a lot of design work for the Newark Bike Project, a ║▐ ║ bike collective in in Newark, DE. This included designing ║▐ ║ their logo and printing their first run of shirts. ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ Logo Design ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ I wanted the logo to reflect cycling and the local area, ║▐ ║ which I was able to achieve by making the logo out of chain ║▐ ║ links. The links then form an 'N' to represent Newark. The ║▐ ║ font is also custom designed for the logo. ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ Shirt Production ║▐ ║ ║▐ ║ For the initial production of NBP shirts, I used the wooden ║▐ ║ frame of an older picture frame with an old sheer curtain ║▐ ║ stretched across it as my screen. I then blocked out ║▐ ║ sections of the screen with mod podge in lieu of emulsion. ║▐ ║ To pull the ink, I used an old shower squeegee. Lastly, ║▐ ║ after the ink dried, I ironed over it to set the ink.
